Here's what Capital Impact Partners had to say about Thome a Rivertown Neighborhood:
Capital Impact was proud to sponsor and partner with Presbyterian Villages of Michigan, United Methodist Retirement Communities, Henry Ford Health System, and PACE Southeast Michigan to celebrate the recent completion of The Thome Rivertown Neighborhood on June 20, 2018. This project demonstrates the future of housing and services for older adults, and the facility's range of amenities and services provides seniors with the opportunity to live life to the fullest—and remain in Detroit—while minimizing the need for expensive nursing home care.
This innovative senior community includes The Harry & Jeanette Weinberg Green Houses®, which offer older Detroiters affordable independent and assisted-living apartments, 24-hour medical and clinical care and supervision, supportive services, and housing options all on one campus. The units are built to provide all of this in a home-like setting including a rooftop garden for the enjoyment of all residents. Capital Impact completed a $4.5 million loan in 2016 to help finance the Green House project and was thrilled to help celebrate the full facility's grand opening this summer.
