Presbyterian Villages of Michigan, in collaboration with Henry Ford Health System and United Methodist Retirement Communities, has begun the adaptive reuse of a former Parke Davis building to create Rivertown Neighborhood, an affordable senior community. This national model will, for the first time in the United States on one site, provide over 770 neighborhood seniors access to desperately needed housing and supportive services to age in place. Rivertown Neighborhood will spur economic redevelopment by creating 200 permanent jobs with opportunities for advancement and strengthening community partnerships.
