Brad Townsend of Shelby Township was recently elected to serve on the Presbyterian Villages of Michigan Board of Directors. With many years of executive oversight leadership, Mr. Townsend has provided direction for Abbott, Johnson & Johnson, Boston Scientific and Glaxo Smith Kline. He has specialized experience in the medical devices arena and health policy in the United States and Canada. Presently he holds the position of Area Vice President-Cardiac Rhythm for Abbott.
Mr. Townsend holds a BS Degree in Business from Indiana University and is skilled in strategic planning, multidisciplinary team development and financial oversight. He has been recognized with several prestigious awards including several Presidents Club Awards and Regional Manager of the Year by Abbott.
An active member of the community, he is a member of the Welcome Missionary Baptist Church in Pontiac and a member of several fraternities including Kappa Alpha Si and Sigma Pi Phi. “Mr. Townsend’s compassion for seniors coupled with his vast business experience will be well suited to providing the leadership for which PVM has been known over the past 75 years” stated Roshunda Price, PVM Board Chair.
