Gary Ley of Plymouth, Michigan has been elected to the Presbyterian Village Board of Directors. For 26 years, Mr. Ley served as the President/CEO with the Garden City Hospital health system, which included long term care, home health services, insurance program, medical education and a practice management division. During his tenure, the hospital enjoyed significant growth and expansion and was recognized by Truven and other organizations for outstanding quality and workplace excellence. Last year, he was appointed Executive Director of The Accreditation Association for Hospitals/Health Systems in Chicago, responsible for business development and strategic planning. He is a Life Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. Mr. Ley has also been a leader in civic engagement having served as Chair of the American Red Cross, SE Michigan Blood Services Board of Trustees, the Southeast Michigan Hospital Council, the Michigan Hospital Association Legislative Policy Panel and the Garden City Chamber of Commerce. In addition, numerous other community and charitable organizations have benefited from his service as a board member. His academic achievements include a BA and a Master of Healthcare Administration from the University of Michigan.
