Lynda K. Jeffries, Ph.D., PVM Board member and immediate past chairperson, received the prestigious “Trustee of the Year” award presented by LeadingAge Michigan at the Annual Conference held in Lansing during May. The award recognizes an outstanding member of the governing board of a LeadingAge of Michigan member organization. Presbyterian Villages of Michigan is member of LeadingAge.
Dr. Jeffries retired from SBC Communications as External Affairs Director for South Oakland County. She had also served many years in customer service, human resources and organizational development. Currently, as a Senior Consultant with The Leadership Group LLC, Lynda has a passion for assisting organizations in capacity building and leadership development. She custom-designs and facilitates executive coaching engagements, strategic planning sessions, board retreats, and organizational assessments.
As an adjunct professor, she has taught Leadership and Nonprofit Management at LTU and has taught Social Diversity, Business Ethics, Management Principles, and Speech Communication at Davenport University. Jeffries is the author of the audio CD Overcoming Procrastination and co-author of the article Increasing Diversity of Leadership in Environmental Nonprofit Organizations in a Major Brownfield City: Phase 1.
