Presbyterian Villages of Michigan (PVM) Foundation has named Avni Thomas as director of grants management. She previously served as development project manager for the School of Education and Human Services at Oakland University.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Missouri and a master’s degree in Public Administration from Oakland University. Thomas is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals Greater Detroit Chapter and volunteers at the Oakland County Animal Shelter.

She resides in Sterling Heights with her husband and dog.
